Assam Launches ₹25,000 Monthly Aid for Research Scholars
Why in News?
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the launch of a significant financial support initiative titled the "Atal Vichal Agragami Assam" scheme. Aimed at transforming the state into a knowledge-driven economy, the scheme provides substantial monthly stipends to research scholars to foster innovation and academic excellence. The formal launch of the programme is scheduled for February 11, 2026.

- Monthly Stipend: Regular full-time research scholars will receive a monthly financial assistance of ₹25,000.
- Support for Divyang Scholars: To promote inclusivity, Divyang (differently-abled) research scholars will receive an enhanced monthly stipend of ₹40,000.
- Eligibility: The scheme is applicable to permanent residents of Assam pursuing Ph.D. or advanced research in State or Central Universities located within Assam.
- Exclusions: Scholars enrolled in private universities or open universities, and current beneficiaries of the Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Moina scheme, are generally excluded.
- Objective: The primary goal is to eliminate financial barriers, allowing researchers to focus on high-quality, interdisciplinary research and reduce the "brain drain" from the state.
- Implementation: Applications are expected to be processed through the Digital Infrastructure for DBT Schemes (DIDS) Portal.

Ans. A previous year test can be attempted as many times as time you wish and you can review the solutions and analysis of the attempted tests as many times as you want.
