Why in News?

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz paid his first official visit to India, meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The visit marks 75 years of diplomatic relations and the silver jubilee of their Strategic Partnership. The leaders signed 19 agreements to deepen cooperation in defense, green technology, and resilient supply chains.

Key Points

  • Defense Industrial Roadmap: A "Joint Declaration of Intent" was signed to develop a roadmap for the co-development and co-production of defense platforms, focusing on submarines (Project-75I), U-boats, and Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS).
  • Green Partnership (GSDP): Germany committed an additional €1.24 billion for renewable energy, green hydrogen, and the PM e-Bus Sewa program.
  • Critical Technology: New pacts were inked for semiconductors, critical minerals, and AI to build secure global supply chains.
  • Mobility & Skill: Germany announced visa-free transit for Indian passport holders and a roadmap for higher education, including a Dual Degree program between IIT Madras and Dresden University.
  • Economic Milestone: Bilateral trade surpassed $50 billion in 2024.
  • Security: Germany will deploy a Liaison Officer to the Information Fusion Centre–Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR) and participate in Exercise MILAN and TARANG SHAKTI 2026.

Ans. On submission of your mock test, your score and rank would be immediately generated. The ranking is dynamic in nature and it would change as more users attempt that mock test.
Ques. Can I attempt a previous year test more than once?
Ans. A previous year test can be attempted as many times as time you wish and you can review the solutions and analysis of the attempted tests as many times as you want.
Ques. Do you also provide solutions for the questions?
Ans. Yes, detailed solutions will be available to you after you finish the test. You will be able to access these solutions anytime after you have taken the test.
Ques. Will I get any report card after the test?
Ans. Yes, you will get a detailed analysis of your performance after submitting the test.
