Jan 21, 2026

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has cancelled the first shift of the Delhi Police Head Constable (AWO/TPO) exam scheduled for January 20, 2026, at the MGA Institute of Polytechnic, Kanpur Nagar. According to the official notice issued by SSC Central Region, the cancellation was necessary due to technical issues at the examination centre, which made it impossible to conduct the test smoothly and fairly for all candidates.

The decision applies only to the first shift at this specific venue; exams at other centres and shifts on January 20 remained unaffected. SSC did not disclose detailed technical reasons but emphasised that the step was taken in the interest of transparency and candidate convenience.

New Exam Date and Admit Card Update

SSC has now rescheduled the affected exam to January 21, 2026, at the same Kanpur venue. Fresh admit cards reflecting the revised date and shift will be uploaded on the official SSC website soon. Candidates must download the updated hall ticket, as the earlier admit card will no longer be valid for entry.
