OPSC OCS Notification 2026 has been released by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on its official website, for 465 vacancies in Group A and Group B Odisha civil services posts. Candidates having completed thire Graduation, have proficiency in the Odia language and meet the age range for their category can apply online from January 20, 2026, to February 20, 2026. The selection involves Prelims, Mains, and Interview stages. OPSC OCS 2026 Eligibility outlines the mandatory conditions candidates must meet to apply for Odisha Civil Services Exam 2026.   1. Nationality: Candidates applying for OPSC OCS Exam 2026 must be citizens of India. Only candidates who meet the prescribed citizenship requirement are considered eligible to apply.

  1. Age Limit: The age criteria ensure that candidates must meet the minimum and maximum age limits as specified below:

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 42 years

Candidates must be born not earlier than January 2, 1983 and not later than January 1, 2004.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a State or nationally recognised university or from a university deemed under Section 3 of the UGC Act. In addition, candidates must have working knowledge of the Odia language, including the ability to read, write, and speak it, and must have fulfilled any one of the following conditions:
  • Passed the Middle School Examination with Odia as a language or subject
  • Passed HSC or an equivalent examination with Odia as the medium of instruction for a non-language subject
  • Passed Odia as a language subject in the final examination of Class 8 from a recognised school or educational institution

OPSC OCS 2026 Prelims exam consists of 2 papers of General Studies. They both consist of MCQ papers. There is a negative marking of 1/3rd of the allotted marks. The duration of each paper is 2 hrs. You must get at least 33% in Paper 2 or Paper 1 will not be evaluated. However, it must be noted that Prelims is qualifying in nature and its marks will not be considered in the final merit list.
