AIIMS Nursing Officer Educational Qualification 2026
In order to attempt AIIMS Nursing Officer exam, you must have the following educational qualifications:
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/state Nursing council recognized Institute or University OR B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing council recognized Institute/ University.
- Registered as Nurses & Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council
- Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing council recognized Institute / Board or Council
- Registered as Nurses & Midwife in State / Indian Nursing Council.
- Two Years’ Experience in a minimum 50 bedded Hospital after acquiring the educational qualification mentioned above as applicable for all Participating AIIMS.
Remarks - The required two years of experience as in above is as an essential criterion and to be valid, the experience shall must be acquired after obtaining Essential Qualification, i.e. after completing residency period of the course, declaration of result & registration with State/Indian Nursing Council.
AIIMS Nursing Officer Age Limit 2026
The minimum age required to attempt AIIMS Nursing Officer exam is 18 years and the maximum age is 30 years. The age limit will be calculated as per the last date of application submission (March 16, 2026). However, there are age-relaxation criteria for specific categories that are given below.

Note:
1. The upper age limit in respect of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Ex-Servicemen and other special categories of persons etc. shall be relaxable in accordance with the orders issued by the Government of India from time to time.
2. Unless otherwise indicated in the recruitment rules, age relaxation as mentioned for personnel serving in Central/State Government and Autonomous Institutions of Central & State Govts. and for regular employees of AIIMS who have completed three years of regular service period will be allowed. This clause is not applicable to AIIMS, New Delhi or it may not also be applicable to any other participating Institute if expressly notified on website.
3. For AIIMS, New Delhi unless otherwise indicated in recruitment rules age relaxation as mentioned for personnel serving in only Central Government who have completed three years of regular service period will be allowed.
