AIIMS NORCET 9 2025 Age Limit

There is a minimum and maximum age limit for the candidates in AIIMS Nursing Officer Recruitment Exam. The age will be counted as on the last date of the closing of the application form. Candidates are advised to check the upper age limit as they are required to meet the age limit criteria.

  • Minimum age limit – 18 years
  • Maximum age limit – 30 years
  • Age relaxation will be provided per the recruitment rules of respective Institutes/Hospitals.

Note:

  1. Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Ex‑Servicemen and Other Special Categories
    The upper age limit for candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex‑Servicemen and other notified special categories shall be relaxed in accordance with orders issued by the Government of India from time to time.
  2. Central/State Government Personnel, Autonomous Bodies and AIIMS Employees
    Unless the recruitment rules expressly state otherwise, age relaxation will be granted to:
  • Personnel serving in Central or State Government departments and in autonomous institutions of the Central/State Governments, and
  • Regular employees of AIIMS who have completed at least three years of regular service.

This provision does not apply to AIIMS New Delhi, nor to any other participating institute unless it is specifically notified on their website.

    For AIIMS New Delhi (unless the recruitment rules provide differently), only those serving in Central Government who have completed three years of regular service are eligible for age relaxation.

AIIMS Nursing Officer Work Experience

Candidates who have completed a Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from a recognized Institute in India must have two years of work experience in nursing or midwifery. However, the candidates who have completed B.Sc. in nursing do not require to have any kind of experience.

AIIMS NORCET 9: Eligibility Criteria for Scribe & Compensatory Time

Candidates appearing for AIIMS NORCET‑9 who have certified disabilities may request the assistance of a scribe and receive additional examination time. Below are the specific eligibility conditions and procedural requirements governing these facilities.

1. Benchmark Disabilities

  • Candidates who are blind, have locomotor impairment affecting both arms, or have cerebral palsy may request a scribe.
  • These candidates also receive 20 minutes of extra time for each hour of the examination.

2. Other Benchmark Disabilities

  • Candidates with any other disability recognized under the RPWD Act may apply for a scribe and additional time.
  • A medical certificate from a government health‑care institution confirming the necessity of a scribe is required.

3. Specified Disabilities with Less Than Forty Percent Impairment

  • Candidates with under forty percent disability who experience difficulty in writing are eligible for a scribe and compensatory time.
  • A medical certificate confirming the writing limitation must be submitted.

4. Certificate Upload

  • All medical and disability certificates must be uploaded during the online registration process.
  • No certificates submitted = no scribe or extra‑time facility on exam day.

5. Choice and Qualification of Scribe

  • Candidates may opt for an AIIMS‑provided scribe or bring their own.
  • A self‑arranged scribe must have education at least one academic level below the test requirement (e.g., if the test requires a bachelor’s degree, the scribe should hold at least a higher‑secondary certificate)
  • If a self‑arranged scribe does not report on exam day, AIIMS will not provide a replacement.

6. Scope of Scribe’s Assistance

  • The scribe may read instructions, the test paper, and handle the computer interface.
  • Explaining, interpreting questions, or offering any hint is strictly prohibited and may lead to cancellation of the candidate’s exam.
