APSC CCE 2026 Eligibility Criteria will depend upon different factors like Age, Nationality, Educational Qualifications, Number of Attempts, etc. Only eligible candidates are allowed to apply for APSC CCE Exam 2026 for various posts.
Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
Domicile: Candidates must be a Native Inhabitant of Assam and must speak Assamese Language or any other official language of the state.

Language: A mandatory requirement to appear for APSC CCE Exam 2026 is to know Assamese Language or any other Official or Associate Language.
Number of Attempts: There is no limit on the number of attempts following the Age Limit and Relaxations given by APSC.

Step 1: Click on apsc.nic.in and select APSC CCE Application.
Step 2: Register with required credentials.
Step 3: Generate the One-Time Password (OTP) and click on ‘Submit’.
Step 4: Log in and fill out your Application Form. Fill in basic details, Educational qualifications, and upload your scanned documents.
Step 5: Select your Preferred Prelims Exam Centre and make your payment.
Step 6: Download and take a printout of your APSC CCE 2026 Admit Card.

APSC CCE 2026 Admit Card will be notified soon to the candidates through the official website of APSC. APSC CCE Admit Card will contain all the required information regarding the candidate and the exam, such as Name of the Candidate, Application Number, Exam Venue, Exam Timings, Exam Instructions, etc. Candidates can follow the steps below to download their Admit Card:
Step 1: Go to apsc.nic.in
Step 2: Click on ‘APSC CCE 2026 Admit Card’.
Step 3: Enter the required credentials, i.e. Application ID, Roll number and Date of Birth.

APSC CCE 2026 Prelim Exam is an Objective type Exam. Shortlisted candidates can appear in APSC CCE Mains, which is a Subjective type of Exam followed by the shortlisting of candidates for APSC CCE Interview.
APSC CCE Prelims 2026 will be an Objective type of question based test consisting of two subjects, each carrying 200 marks and a total of 400 marks as shown below:

Note: There will be negative marking as well. For every incorrect answer, 1/4 or 0.25 marks will be deducted. APSC CCE Prelims’ marks will not add up to the Final Result, as it is only a Qualifying Exam for APSC CCE Mains.
APSC CCE 2026 Mains Exam will be in descriptive form, consisting of 6 Papers of 1500 marks. It is an offline mode of exam which usually takes 7-10 days, and exams for different papers happen in multiple shifts (Mostly one paper per Day). The detailed syllabus is listed below:
