Assam Public Service Commission will soon release APSC CCE Notification 2026 to recruit officers under various posts belonging to Group A and Group B. Eligible candidates can apply online on the official website of APSC. APSC CCE Exam is divided into three phases: Prelims (Objective type), then Mains (Subjective/Written) followed by Interview. Only shortlisted candidates can appear for the Mains and Interview. APSC CCE Final Result is based upon the marks scored by a candidate in the Mains and Interview.

What is APSC CCE Exam?
APSC CCE 2026 Exam is conducted to recruit Officers under various posts of Assam Civil Services and Administrative posts like Assam Civil Service (Junior Grade), Assam Land and Revenue Service (Junior Grade), District Transport Officer, Labour Officer, Assam Police Service (Junior Grade), etc. This exam is usually conducted in three parts. It is the highest competitive exam held in Assam. There will be a separate APSC CCE Application process for both Prelims and Mains Exam.

APSC CCE 2026 Notification will be released soon on the official website of APSC. It will contain complete details regarding the Exam, Application process, Eligibility criteria, allotted vacancies, Educational Qualification, Exam Syllabus, Exam centres, Important dates, etc.
APSC CCE Eligibility 2026
APSC CCE 2026 Eligibility Criteria will depend upon different factors like Age, Nationality, Educational Qualifications, Number of Attempts, etc. Only eligible candidates are allowed to apply for APSC CCE Exam 2026 for various posts.
Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
Domicile: Candidates must be a Native Inhabitant of Assam and must speak Assamese Language or any other official language of the state.
Age Limit: The minimum age to apply for APSC CCE Exam 2026 is 21 years, and the maximum age is 38 years as on 1 January 2026. However, Age Relaxation also applies to some cases as listed below:

Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised University in India, either Central, State, Private or Deemed. Students in the final year of their graduation may appear for APSC CCE Exam, but under specific conditions as mentioned on the official website of APSC.
Language: A mandatory requirement to appear for APSC CCE Exam 2026 is to know Assamese Language or any other Official or Associate Language.
Number of Attempts: There is no limit on the number of attempts following the Age Limit and Relaxations given by APSC.

APSC CCE 2026 Application Process will begin soon on the official website of APSC . Candidates can follow the given steps to fill out their APSC CCE Prelims Application 2026:
Step 1: Click on apsc.nic.in and select APSC CCE Application.
Step 2: Register with required credentials.
Step 3: Generate the One-Time Password (OTP) and click on ‘Submit’.
Step 4: Log in and fill out your Application Form. Fill in basic details, Educational qualifications, and upload your scanned documents.
Step 5: Select your Preferred Prelims Exam Centre and make your payment.
Step 6: Download and take a printout of your APSC CCE 2026 Admit Card.

APSC CCE Admit Card 2026
APSC CCE 2026 Admit Card will be notified soon to the candidates through the official website of APSC. APSC CCE Admit Card will contain all the required information regarding the candidate and the exam, such as Name of the Candidate, Application Number, Exam Venue, Exam Timings, Exam Instructions, etc. Candidates can follow the steps below to download their Admit Card:
Step 1: Go to apsc.nic.in
Step 2: Click on ‘APSC CCE 2026 Admit Card’.
Step 3: Enter the required credentials, i.e. Application ID, Roll number and Date of Birth.
Step 4: Click on the ‘Submit’ button to view your Admit card.
Step 5: Download the pdf of your Admit card and keep a Hard Copy of the same for the exam day.
APSC CCE Exam Pattern 2026
APSC CCE 2026 Prelim Exam is an Objective type Exam. Shortlisted candidates can appear in APSC CCE Mains, which is a Subjective type of Exam followed by the shortlisting of candidates for APSC CCE Interview.
APSC CCE Prelims Exam Pattern 2026
APSC CCE Prelims 2026 will be an Objective type of question based test consisting of two subjects, each carrying 200 marks and a total of 400 marks as shown below:

Note: There will be negative marking as well. For every incorrect answer, 1/4 or 0.25 marks will be deducted. APSC CCE Prelims’ marks will not add up to the Final Result, as it is only a Qualifying Exam for APSC CCE Mains.
APSC CCE Mains Exam Pattern 2026
APSC CCE 2026 Mains Exam will be in descriptive form, consisting of 6 Papers of 1500 marks. It is an offline mode of exam which usually takes 7-10 days, and exams for different papers happen in multiple shifts (Mostly one paper per Day). The detailed syllabus is listed below:

APSC CCE Selection Process 2026
APSC CCE 2026 Selection process happens in three stages:
- Prelims: It is a qualifying exam in two parts. A minimum of 33% in the second part is required to qualify for the exam.
- Mains: Prelims qualifying candidates can appear in this exam. It has a total of 6 papers, and the total marks are 1500.
- Interview: Shortlisted Mains candidates can appear in the Interview part. This is the last stage of the exam. It has a total weightage of 180 marks. The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their Mains and Interview scores out of 1680.
