MPSC Eligibility Criteria 2025: Age Limit, Educational Qualifications, Other Requirements

MPSC has revised the upper age limit for various post under the MPSC Group B and C vacancies. The candidates can download the corrigendum from the MPSC official website. The minimum and the maximum age group of the interested candidates should be 19 years and 38 years respectively for appearing in the exam. It is the basic criteria to apply for the MPSC exam 2025.

MPSC Eligibility Criteria 2025

MPSC Eligibility Criteria 2025 has paramters like age limit, nationality, etc. Only Indian Nationals can apply for these exams. To apply for MPSC State Service Exam 2025, candidates must be the citizen of India, residents of Maharashtra state can get some relaxation in eligibility criteria. The residents of Maharashtra living in the state for more than 10 years are eligible for reservation. Fluency in Marathi (spoken and written) is a vital eligibility criterion to apply to these exams.

MPSC Exam Age Limit

The minimum and maximum MPSC age limit for the State Service Exam (for the year To be announced) is mentioned below:

  • Minimum Age (as on March 1, 2020): 19 years
  • Maximum Age (as on March 1, 2020): 38 years (General Category)

Note: While appearing for the MPSC state exam, candidates need to have completed at least 19 years of age (on or before March 1 of the year in which candidates are giving the MPSC Prelims exam). Some relaxations in age are granted to the candidates based on their category.

MPSC age relaxation limit for the candidates belonging to OBC, SC, ST, Persons with disabilities (PwD), ex-servicemen are discussed below:

  • Age relaxation will be applied for candidates belonging to the reserved category as per government norms.

MPSC Educational Qualification

Candidates meeting the below-mentioned educational eligibility criteria for MPSC exams are eligible to apply to these exams:

  • He/she must be efficient in Marathi
  • He/she must have obtained a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
  • Candidates in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply to these exams.

Since MPSC exams are taken for a wider range of posts and services, each post has specific eligibility criteria (including educational qualification, physical fitness, etc.). Few posts need subject-specific expertise as per the rules set by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission.

MPSC Physical Measurements

While applying to several MPSC posts, candidates must meet physical fitness/measurements as eligibility requirements. While applying for the post of DSP, ACP, etc. below mentioned MPSC Physical Qualification is vital.

  • Minimum height for DySP (Dy Superintendent of Police) post - 165 cm (for males)
  • For female candidates, it is 157 cm.

Ans. No, the 12th standard aspirants are not eligible to apply for the MPSC exam. One needs to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

Ans. Yes, the Marathi language is mandated to know if the aspirants desire to appear for the MPSC exam.
