You should be a citizen of India & between the age group of 18-23 years to apply online for BSF Recruitment 2025. However, there are certain kind of relaxations in age that are provided in the age limit for the candidates from reserved categories. Along with that, You must have cleared 10+2 or having a bachelor’s degree from any recognized institution to appear in the BSF Recruitment exam. You will have to go through the selection process as per the BSF Recruitment Notification 2025 consisting of a written exam in Phase I followed by Physical training, an Interview, document verification, and a Medical exam in Phase II. BSF Eligibility Criteria: For Radio Operator (HC)

For HC (RO) posts, Candidates must have aged 18-23 years. The candidates aspiring for this post must take note that they must have:

Intermediate passed with PCM along with a diploma in any one of the following

Telecommunications
Radio & Television
Domestic Appliances Engineering
Mechanical Engineering

Candidates must have at least 55% marks in PCM from any recognized University or Diploma in ITI.

BSF Eligibility Criteria for ASI (Radio Mechanics) Posts

There are certain eligibility criteria which are needed to be fulfilled in order to appear for the post. They are:

BSF ASI Age Criteria:

For ASI (RM) post, candidates must have age 18-25 years. Some relaxation in the age limit will be there for the reserved categories

SC/ST – 5 years
OBC – 3 years
J&K Domicile – 5 years

BSF ASI Physical Criteria:

Candidates must make a note that their height must be 170 cm, chests must be 80 cm and weight must be according to the height (as per medical standards)

BSF ASI Medical Criteria:

Candidates will have to go through the medical test where they must have a distant vision of 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes (without glasses).

BSF Eligibility Criteria 2025: Number of Attempts

There is no restriction provided on the total number of attempts for the BSF Recruitment Exam. Candidates are allowed to appear as many times in between the provided age limit and as long as they satisfy the other eligibility criteria.
