CUET UG Eligibility 2026

To appear for CUET UG Exam 2026, candidates must fulfil certain eligibility criteria, which include educational qualification, minimum marks requirement, age limit, and nationality. CUET UG Eligibility 2026 is given below:

1. Educational Qualifications:

Students who want to appear for CUET UG 2026 shall have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board, or are appearing for their Class 12th Board exam in 2026.

2. Age limit:

CUET UG 2026 Application Deadline has been extended, allowing candidates additional time to complete the application process. Interested candidates can now apply until February 4, 2026, and pay fees by February 7, 2026.

CUET UG 2026 Admit Card has been released on the official website of NTA on May 05, 2026. Students should follow the steps below to access their CUET UG admit card 2026:

1. At first, go to the official website of CUET cuet.nta.nic.in

2. Then click on the “Download Admit Card” tab on the homepage.

3. After that, enter your application number, date of birth, and the displayed security code.

4. At last, click on “Download Admit Card” and take a printout.

CUET UG Admit Card will contain a candidate’s name, photograph, application number, exam date, time, duration, exam centre name and address, and subjects selected by a candidate.

CUET UG Exam 2026 Syllabus

NTA has set up the syllabus for CUET UG 2026. This syllabus will cover Language subjects, Domain subjects, and the General Aptitude Test. The sections of CUET UG Syllabus 2026 are given below:

Language Subject Candidates can choose from 13 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. This section assesses language proficiency through Reading Comprehension (factual, literary, and narrative passages), Literary Aptitude, and Vocabulary.
Domain Subjects

A total of 23 domain subjects are covered as per the NCERT curriculum.

Science Stream: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology/Biological Studies/Biotechnology/Biochemistry, Computer Science/Informatics Practices.

Commerce Stream: Accountancy/Book Keeping, Business Studies, Economics, Entrepreneurship.

Humanities/Arts Stream: History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, Legal Studies, Teaching Aptitude, Mass Media/Mass Communication.

Additional Subjects: Agriculture, Anthropology, Fine Arts/Visual Arts (Sculpture/Painting/Graphics/Applied Arts), Performing Arts, Environmental Science.

General Aptitude Test General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (basic concepts of Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Statistics), and Logical & Analytical Reasoning.

CUET UG Selection Process 2026

CUET UG 2026 undergoes the following selection process to select students for undergraduate courses:

  1. CUET UG Exam: Admissions depend on exam scores.

  2. Merit List & Cut-off: Universities prepare merit lists; candidates must meet cut-offs.

  3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates submit original certificates.

  4. Counselling & Seat Allotment: Seats allotted based on merit and preference.

  5. Admission Confirmation: Complete fee payment to confirm admission.

CUET UG 2026 Answer Key

After the completion of CUET UG 2026 Exams, NTA will release the provisional answer key within 48 hours. Accordingly, the objection period for the published provisional answer key will be open for 3-4 days. Once the notice for CUET UG 2026 Provisional Answer Key is released, candidates are advised to follow the steps:

1. Visit the official CUET website.

2. Click on the “Answer key” link

3. Then fill in your exam date and session

4. After that, download the subject-wise answer key

5. Then match your responses with the provisional answer key and calculate your score.

Candidates need to pay Rs. 200 for each question challenged, and the objections will be submitted online only. Candidates need to provide documents supporting their objection. If the objection to the provisional answer is found valid, then the NTA will refund the objection money.

CUET UG 2026 Result

After the objection to the answer key is resolved, CUET UG 2026 Result will be released by NTA. The final scorecard of a candidate will contain NTA score out of 1000, percentile Score, subject-wise marks, and All India Rank. Candidates can check CUET UG result 2026 by:

1. Visit the official website of NTA

2. Then enter your application number and date of birth

3. Then download your scorecard

4. Candidates are advised to take printouts for university applications.

The scorecard will be valid for admission to Universities/Institutions in the 2026-2027 academic session. This scorecard will be required for all university applications. Also, candidates must know that no physical copy can be sent by post.

CUET UG Counselling 2026

Once CUET UG 2026 final result will be published by the NTA, each participating University/Institution will handle its own counselling process. Candidates need to visit the official website of their preferred university admission portal to register their details, like choice filling, document verification, and seat allotment. This process is usually completed in 2-3 rounds. After seat allotment is complete, candidates need to pay the admission fee and report to the university to confirm their admission.
