Indian Navy has announced the exam dates for Agniveer SSR, MR, and SSR (Medical) Sailor posts for the 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches on April 30, 2026, on its official website, agniveer.navydmpr.in. As per the schedule, the SSR CBT exam will be conducted on May 13, 2026, the MR CBT exam on May 14 and 15, 2026, and the SSR (Medical) CBT exam on May 16, 2026. The admit card for the Agniveer SSR and MR exams has been released on May 2, 2026. What is Indian Navy MR Recruitment?

With a primary goal to protect the country's maritime borders and, in concert with the other Armed Forces of the Union, to deter or defeat any threats or aggression against India's land, people, or maritime interests, in both war and peace, the Indian Navy recruits eligible and dedicated candidates for various positions.

Indian Navy MR exam is conducted twice a year for the sailor position under Matric Recruitment. This is a fantastic chance for male applicants who want to serve their country. There are a total of three phases in the selection process for the sailor posts of Chef, Steward and Sanitary Hygienist. Indian Navy MR Physical Fitness Test (PFT) 2025-26

To be a part of Indian Defence each candidate needs to be physically capable of performing the task. All the candidates who are eligible for the recruitment and successfully qualify in the Phase 1 selection through the written examination will be eligible for the Physical Fitness Test in Indian Navy MR 2025. The physical exam consists of essentially three tests to deem a candidate physically qualified for the applied posts.

Indian Navy MR Recruitment 2025-26 Selection Process

The candidates will be chosen based on a written test and a physical fitness test (PFT). The objective-type questions on the written test will be separated into two sections: science and mathematics, and general knowledge. The examination will be multilingual (Hindi and English). All applicants who are taking the written test must also take the PFT on the same day.

Indian Navy MR Recruitment 2025-26 Salary and Benefits

During the first training phase, the chosen students would be paid a stipend of INR 14,600 per month. After completing the course, the applicants would be assigned to level 3 of the defence pay matrix, which ranges from INR 21,700 to INR 69,100.

Pay and Allowance: A monthly stipend of INR 14,600 would be available throughout the first training session. They will be assigned to Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix after completing initial training ( INR 21,700- INR 69,100). They would also be given an MSP of INR 5200 per month + DA (as applicable).

Promotion: Promotion opportunities are available up to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer-I, which corresponds to Level 8 of the Defence Pay Matrix (INR 47,600-1,51,100) with MSP INR 5200 per month plus DA (as applicable). Those who perform well and pass the appropriate examinations and clear the Services Selection Boards may be considered for advancement to a commissioned officer.
