CUET UG 2025 Guidelines Revised: Check New Exam Pattern, Syllabus (Revised)

NTA has announced the schedule for CUET UG 2025, which is conducted for admissions to various undergraduate programs at central and participating universities. CUET UG application process began on March 01, 2025, and ended on March 22, 2025. This year, the authority has introduced several modifications in its syllabus and Exam format. The exam centers have also increased, with 388 test centers in India and 24 test centers outside India. Here’s a look at the major changes:

Introduction of New Sections and Subject Choices

  • CUET 2025 has revised its decreased number of subjects. Students can now choose:
  • Section IA ( includes 13 languages) - Candidates can choose up to 3 languages
  • Section IB offers 20 optional languages, allowing greater flexibility.
  • Section II (includes 23 domain-specific subjects) -Candidates can choose up to 6 subjects.

Exam Duration & Time Allocation

  • The exam will have different time durations for different subjects.
  • Most subjects will have a duration of 45 minutes,
  • The time duration for subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Accountancy, Economics, Computer Science, and General Test, has been extended to 60 minutes.
  • The General Test, which includes topics like General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Numerical Ability, will also have a 60-minute duration.

Fee Structure and Payment

The application fees for CUET 2025 have been adjusted across different categories:

  • For General (UR) candidates, the fee for up to three subjects is INR 1000, with INR 400 for each additional subject.
  • For OBC-NCL/EWS, the fee is INR 900 (for up to three subjects) and INR 375 for each additional subject.
  • SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender candidates will pay INR 800 for three subjects and INR 350 for each additional subject.
  • For students applying from centres outside India, the fee is INR 4500 for up to three subjects, with INR 1800 for each additional subject.
