IBPS RRB PO Prelims Exam Held on August 4, 2024, Check Detailed Exam Analysis for Shift 1

IBPS RRB PO Prelims exam was conducted on August 3 and 4, 2024. The exam was conducted in four shifts per day. The number of vacancies for the Officer Scale-1 post is 3583. The question paper carries two subjects-Reasoning ability and Quantitative Aptitude. A total of 80 multiple-choice questions were asked and 45 minutes were allotted for the exam. The overall difficulty level of all shifts was easy to moderate. In shift 1 on August 4, the Quant section was easy and the reasoning section was moderate.

Sectional time is introduced in this exam for the first time. Some students found it difficult to complete a section within the time. They found it challenging and said that it also can affect their overall marks. However, according to some students, it helped them maintain a balance between the two sections.

Students’ Reactions on IBPS RRB PO Prelims Shift 1 Exam

According to the majority of the students, maximum questions were asked from Arithmetic and DI in the Quant section. The Quant section was easy to moderate. Most of the students said that they attempted 24-28 questions in the Quant section.

Students found the reasoning section easy to moderate but the paper was a bit lengthy. Time was the actual challenge for them as there was a sectional time limit. As the paper was lengthy many students faced issues in that. Despite this, the majority of students managed to attempt 30-35 questions in Reasoning. It can be considered a good attempt. They ensured that maximum questions were asked from seating arrangements.
