nstitute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the IBPS RRB PO Final Result 2026 on February 23, 2026, on its official website, ibps.in, for CRP RRBs-XIV recruitment of Officer Scale I, II, and III posts. The notification was released on June 7, 2025, while the online application process was conducted from June 7 to June 27, 2025. The Prelims Exam was held on August 2, 3, and 9, 2025, followed by the Mains Exam on September 13, 2025, and the Interview round in January 2026. Candidates can now check their final selection status and provisional allotment based on the combined Mains and Interview performance (80:20 ratio).

IBPS RRB PO Eligibility 2026

To apply for the post of Officer Scale I (PO) in Regional Rural Banks, candidates must fulfill certain eligibility conditions as defined by IBPS. These include nationality, age limit, age relaxation, educational qualifications, and language proficiency. Only those who satisfy these criteria will be considered for the recruitment process.

Nationality

A candidate must be either:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit

For Officer Scale I (Assistant Manager), the age limit is above 18 years and below 30 years as on 1st September 2026. This means candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.09.1995 and not later than 01.09.2007 (both dates inclusive).

Age Relaxation

Certain categories of candidates are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit as per government rules.

As on the last date of registration (September 21, 2026), candidates must hold the following qualifications:

  • If a candidate does not have the required proficiency at the time of selection, they must acquire it within six months of joining. The RRB may extend this period within the probation period, but failure to gain proficiency may result in disqualification.

  3. Register as a new user by providing basic details and obtaining a provisional registration number and password.

IBPS RRB PO Marks Calculation 2026

The marks for IBPS RRB PO 2026 are calculated using specific guidelines laid down by IBPS. These rules apply to normalization of scores, penalty for wrong answers, percentage/CGPA conversion, and final merit preparation.

  1. Normalization of Scores
    • Since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts, difficulty levels may vary.

  6. Percentage and CGPA Conversion Rules
    • Candidates must enter the percentage obtained in graduation up to two decimal places in the application form.
    • If marks are awarded in CGPA/OGPA, they must be converted into percentage as per the rules of the respective University/Institute.
    • A certificate from the University explaining the conversion formula must be produced during verification.

  • Fraction rule: Scores like 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%, and 54.99% as less than 55%.

Medium of Examination

IBPS RRB PO exam is conducted in multiple languages to ensure candidates can attempt the paper in their regional language along with English and Hindi. The availability of languages depends on the state where the Regional Rural Bank is located.

IBPS RRB PO Selection Process 2026

  1. Prelims Examination: The Prelims is an online objective test of Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude with a total of 80 marks. It is only a qualifying stage to shortlist candidates for the Main Exam, and its marks are not counted in the final merit list.
  2. Mains Examination: The Mains is a detailed objective test covering Reasoning, Quant, General Awareness, English/Hindi, and Computer Knowledge, with a total of 200 marks. The marks scored here are crucial as they are considered for both the interview call and the final merit list.
  3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the Mains are called for a personal interview conducted by IBPS and RRBs. The interview assesses communication, personality, and banking knowledge, and its marks are combined with Mains for the final selection.

Final Merit List

The final result is prepared by combining 80% weightage of Mains marks and 20% weightage of Interview marks. Candidates who qualify are provisionally allotted to Regional Rural Banks based on merit and preference.

IBPS RRB PO Result 2026 is released separately for each stage of the selection process, Prelims, Mains, and Interview. Candidates can check and download their results by logging in with their Registration Number/Roll Number and Password/Date of Birth. The result displays the qualifying status, and for subsequent stages, candidates will also be able to view the marks obtained once the scorecard is released.
