JKSSB Police Constable selection process consists of multiple stages to ensure a fair and merit-based recruitment.
Stage 1: Written Examination
The written examination is the first stage of the selection process. It is an objective-type test designed to assess candidates’ knowledge of General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, English, and Basic Computer Knowledge. Candidates are shortlisted category-wise for the next stage.
Stage 2: Physical Standard Test (PST)
Candidates shortlisted from the written exam will be called for the Physical Standard Test (PST) to verify height, chest (for males), and other physical measurements as per the prescribed standards.
Stage 3: Physical Endurance Test (PET)
Candidates qualifying the PST must appear for the Physical Endurance Test (PET), which evaluates physical fitness and stamina through running and other prescribed activities. This stage is qualifying in nature.
Stage 4: Document Verification
Candidates who clear the PST and PET will be required to produce original documents related to age, educational qualification, domicile, and category for verification.
Stage 5: Medical Examination
In the final stage, candidates must undergo a medical fitness examination as per Jammu & Kashmir Police standards. Final selection will be subject to medical fitness.
