There are certain eligibility criteria that need to be fulfilled by the landowner or farmers to avail the benefits of this scheme:

  • Aadhaar number, bank account number, and mobile number (Contact Information), among other things. Like, Details about the land records.
  • Caste Certificate - Social Classification
  • The landowner's name, gender, and address are all stored in the database. - The owner of the lander must be listed in the official database.

Farmers That aren't Eligible for the Program

  • Those who own agricultural land but are subject to income taxes.

  • Retired employees with a pension of more than Rs 10,000.
  • Ministers of the central and state governments, parliaments, MLAs, MLCs, mayors, and current and former Zilla Panchayat presidents are not eligible to participate in the plan.

Ans.No. When the PM Kisan Scheme was first introduced on February 24, 2019, its advantages were limited to Small and Marginal Farmer's households with a combined landholding of up to 2 hectares. With effect from June 1, 2019, the Scheme was amended and extended to all farmer families, regardless of the size of their landholdings.
