The government of India's PM Kisan Status Samman Nidhi Yojana initiative provides all farmers with basic income support of up to 6,000 rupees per year. Piyush Goyal announced the plan at India's 2019 Interim Union Budget on February 1, 2019. The Rythu Bandhu system, in which a specific sum is handed directly to qualifying farmers, was originally conceived and implemented by the Telangana government.
In order to boost the income of small and marginal farmers, the government has introduced a new Central Sector Scheme called "Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN)" this fiscal year. The PM-KISAN plan intends to complement SMFs' financial needs for different inputs in order to achieve good crop health and yields, which are comparable with expected farm revenue at the conclusion of each crop cycle. This would also keep them out of the hands of moneylenders and allow them to continue farming.

Ques. Is it true that the scheme's advantages are solely available to Small and Marginal Farmers (SMF) families?
Ans.No. When the PM Kisan Scheme was first introduced on February 24, 2019, its advantages were limited to Small and Marginal Farmer's households with a combined landholding of up to 2 hectares. With effect from June 1, 2019, the Scheme was amended and extended to all farmer families, regardless of the size of their landholdings.
Ques. What are the Scheme's advantages?
Ans. All Landholding Famer Families will be supplied with a cash benefit of Rs 6000 per annum under the PM Kissan Yojana, payable in three equal installments of Rs 2000 each after every four months.
