SSC JE Exam Pattern 2025: Points to Remember

  • For the Engineering part of the exam, the candidates need to choose the discipline as per their educational background. Thus, the candidates of Civil Engineering have to appear for Part A, those from Electrical Engineering background need to go for Part B, and Mechanical Engineering Candidates should choose Part C in Paper 1 and II.
  • The questions in both Paper 1 and II are objective and multiple choice type.
  • The medium of the exam is Hindi and English.
  • There is a negative marking of 1/3rd of the allotted marks for each wrong answer in Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • Candidates can bring their own slide-rule, calculator, logarithm table, and steam table for Paper 2 only. No such aids or instruments are allowed for Paper 1.
