UP Police SI Eligibility 2025: Check PET & PMT Requirements

UP Police SI Eligibility Criteria 2025 has been released in the official notification. Candidates must be Indian citizens to be eligible to apply for UP Police SI 2025. Both male and female aspirants should be between 21 years to 28 years of age as of 1 July 2025 and must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Along with education and age requirements, candidates are required to qualify for UP Police SI Physical Standards to ensure the physical and mental fitness required for UP Police SI Recruitment 2025.

UP Police SI 2025 Age Limit

Candidates are required to meet the following age criteria to be eligible for UP Police SI 2025:

1. Minimum Age

• Candidates must be at least 21 years old as of 1 July 2025.

2. Maximum Age

• The upper age limit is 28 years for general category candidates.

UP Police SI 2025 Educational Qualification

To apply for the Sub-Inspector post in Uttar Pradesh Police, candidates must meet the following academic requirements as per the post:

Technical Qualification:

It is advisable that the candidates have the following qualifications, and they will be given preference under Rule 34 of Service Rules, 2015:

• Candidate should have “O” Level certificate in computer from DOEACC / NIELIT Society. OR,
• Candidate should have served in Territorial Army for a minimum period of 2 years. OR,
• Candidate should have obtained a “B” certificate in National Cadet Corps (NCC).

Educational Qualifications as per different posts are mentioned below:

1. ASI (Accounts Cadre):

• Bachelor's of Commerce (B.Com) from a recognized university
• Minimum typing speed of 15 words per minute (Hindi)
• Certified Computer Course Level “O”

2. ASI (Clerk Cadre):

• Graduation in any stream from a recognized university
• Minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute (Hindi) and 30 words per minute (English)
• Certified Computer Course Level “O”

3. SI (Confidential Wing):

• Graduation in any stream from a recognized university.
• Minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute (Hindi) and 30 words per minute (English)
• Certified Computer Course Level “O”

UP Police SI Physical Standards 2025

Male and Female candidates are required to meet the following physical standards to be eligible for UP Police SI Recruitment 2025:

Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

• Males (General / OBC / SC):
  • Height: 168 cm
  • Chest: 79–84 cm (with minimum 5 cm expansion)
• Males (ST):
  • Height: 160 cm
  • Chest: 77–82 cm (with minimum 5 cm expansion)
• Females (General / OBC / SC):
  • Height: 152 cm
  • Minimum Weight: 40 Kg
• Females (ST):
  • Height: 147 cm

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

PET Requirements for males and females are:

• Males: Run 4.8 km within 28 minutes
• Females: Run 2.4 km within 16 minutes

UP Police SI 2025 Medical Examination

To be eligible for UP Police SI Recruitment 2025, candidates must pass a thorough medical fitness check, which includes assessments such as:

• Eyesight (distance vision 6/6 or 6/9, no color blindness)
• Hearing, dental health, blood pressure, ECG, flat feet, knock knees, chest X-ray, blood/urine tests, drug screening, and overall physical and mental health.

Applicants must hold a graduation degree, fall within the prescribed age bracket with relaxations, and fulfill physical and medical standards.
