BSSC 2025 Selection Process

BSSC Selection Process 2025 for stenographer posts is divided into 3 parts. They are as follows:

  • Written exam
  • Skill test
  • Document verification

The written exam happens online in the form of a computer-based test with objective questions, evaluated out of 600. Candidates who qualify the written test will have to undergo a skill test. The following are tested during the skill round:

  • Shorthand test: Candidates must type 80 words per minute and a 320-word passage in 4 minutes. A correction time of 2 minutes will be given.
  • English typing test: Candidates must type a 300-word passage in 10 minutes at a speed of 30 wpm.
  • Hindi typing test: Candidates must type a 300-word passage in 10 minutes at a speed of 30 wpm.

Candidates are shortlisted for document verification after the skill test. Any discrepancy found in the documents will lead to the disqualification of the candidate.
