LIC AAO Prelims Exam Pattern 2026
LIC AAO Prelims is the first stage of the selection process. The exam carries a total of 100 marks, and candidates are given 1 hour to complete it, with separate time slots for each section. LIC AAO Exam Pattern for Mains 2026
LIC AAO Mains examination is the second stage of the recruitment process. It is conducted online and consists of objective tests and a descriptive paper. The objective tests are divided into four sections for Generalist posts and five sections for Specialist posts. Each section has separate timing, and candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in every section. The descriptive paper, which includes Essay and Letter writing, is qualifying in nature but will be evaluated only if candidates secure minimum marks in the objective tests.

LIC AAO Interview Pattern 2026
Candidates who qualify in LIC AAO Mains Examination (Objective and Descriptive) are shortlisted for the Interview round. The interview is an important stage of the selection process and carries 60 marks.
- The minimum qualifying marks for the interview are 27 marks for SC/ST candidates and 30 marks for others.
- The weightage of marks between the Main Examination and Interview is 80:20.
- Final merit is prepared based on the marks obtained in the Mains (Objective Test) and Interview together.
- If a candidate does not obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the interview, they will not be considered for final selection.
