RPSC Eligibility 2026: Check Age Limit, Educational Qualifications

RPSC eligibility criteria 2026 are dependent upon the grounds of age, nationality and educational qualification, as determined by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission. RSPC requires candidates to have attained a minimum of 21 years to be eligible. The maximum age limit being 40 is subject to relaxation for certain categories. Those with a bachelor’s degree who are citizens of India can apply. Candidates who fulfil all the eligibility requirements can submit the application and pay the fee online for RPSC 2026.

RPSC 2026 Age Limit

RPSC Age Limit 2026 requires candidates to have a minimum age of 21, irrespective of the category. The upper age limit for the candidates is 40 years, with relaxation permitted to certain categories. Candidates can check the table below for the upper age relaxations for different categories:

Note: Ex-servicemen can get up to 10 years of relaxation for state services and up to 15 years for certain subordinate services.

RPSC 2026 Educational Qualification

A bachelor’s degree is the minimum educational qualification required for a candidate to attain eligibility for RPSC 2026. Candidates must be a bachelor’s holder in any stream from either of the following:

  • A University incorporated by an Act of the Central Legislature
  • A University incorporated by an Act of the State Legislature
  • Educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament
  • An Institution declared to be a deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956
  • A university/institution that possesses an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government in consultation with RPSC

Note: Candidates in the final years of their bachelor’s programme are also eligible to apply. They must submit their certificate of passing before the Mains exam.

RPSC 2026 Nationality Criteria

All Indian citizens are eligible to apply under RPSC. Candidates with the following nationalities are eligible to apply:

  • Citizen of India
  • Subjects of Nepal/Bhutan ( Certificate of eligibility must be issued by the Government of India).
  • Persons of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam) with the intention of permanent settlement in India ( Certificate of eligibility must be issued by the Government of India).

Candidates must fulfil all the criteria of eligibility to apply for RPSC 2026. Any discrepancy found regarding the same, during the verification process, will lead to the disqualification of the candidate.

Ques: Are final year bachelor’s degree students eligible for RPSC 2026?

Ans: Yes, final year bachelor’s students are eligible to apply for RPSC 2026. They must, however, submit the passing certificate before the Mains exam.

Ques: Are candidates outside Rajasthan eligible for RPSC 2026?

Ans: Yes, candidates outside Rajasthan can apply for RPSC 2026. They must, however, also fulfil the requirements of age, nationality and educational qualification.

Ques: What are the certificates accepted as proof of age?

Ans: RPSC accepts Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or its equivalent as proof of age. Candidates must submit them during the document verification.

Ques: Is there any relaxation for the minimum age?

Ans: There are no relaxations applicable for the minimum age requirement for RPC 2026. All candidates must have a minimum age of 21 to be eligible.

Ques: Is a Diploma enough to be eligible for RPSC?

Ans: A diploma in any stream is not enough to apply for RPSC. Candidates should compulsorily require a bachelor’s degree in any stream to be eligible.
