RPSC Exam Pattern 2026: Check Prelims and Mains Exam Pattern
RPSC 2026 Exam Pattern is divided into stages of Prelims and Mains, followed by an Interview round. The Prelims Round is evaluated out of 200 marks, in which those who qualify are shortlisted for the Mains. The Mains Exam, which consists of 4 papers, are evaluated on a total of 800 marks. Candidates who qualify for the Mains stage are shortlisted for the Interview. The personality test is evaluated out of 100 marks, with no specific division of sections for RPSC 2026.

RPSC Mains Exam Pattern 2026
Candidates who qualify the Prelims stage will be qualified for RPSC 2026 Mains. It consists of the following subjects:
- General Studies 1
- General Studies 2
- General Studies 3
- General Hindi & General English

RPSC 2026 Interview
RPSC 2026 Personality Test is evaluated on a total of 100 marks and tests the candidate’s communication skills, general knowledge, leadership skills, etc. The duration of the interview is not specific. Candidates who qualify the Mains are called for the personality test.
The final merit list is prepared on totalling the marks of both the Mains and Interview round. This is evaluated on a total of 900, for RPSC 2026. Candidates cracking the mains and interview round will be shortlisted in the final list.

Ans: All the papers of the Mains exam are generally not conducted in the same day. Each paper has a duration of 3 hours for RPSC 2026.
Ques: Is it compulsory for candidates to attend all 4 papers in the Mains Exam?
Ans: Yes, it is compulsory for candidates to attend all 4 papers of the mains exam. The marks of all 4 papers are totalled in the final list.
Ques: Are the marks of Prelims counted in the Final Rank list?
Ans: Prelims marks of RPSC 2026 are not counted in the Final Merit list. They act as the qualifying test for the Mains round.
Ques: Does the mains exam have negative marking?
Ans: RPSC 2026 Mains exam does not have negative marking a it is descriptive in nature. The Prelims round, however, deducts ⅓ marks for every wrong answer.
Ques: Does the personality test have group rounds?
Ans: The personality test for RPSC does not have any group rounds. Candidates are interviewed individually by a panel of senior experts.
