RRB Technician 2025 selection process begins with a Computer-Based Test (CBT), which is the first and most crucial stage of the recruitment process. This exam is designed to assess the candidate’s proficiency in technical knowledge, reasoning, general science, and mathematics, depending on the post applied for. RRB Technical exam pattern and syllabus vary slightly for Technician Grade 1 Signal and Technician Grade 3 roles. RRB Technical CBT is an objective-type test, carries negative marking, and is conducted in multiple languages.
RRB Technical 2025 syllabus for CBT is different for Technician Grade 1 Signal and Technician Grade 3 posts. While both exams test general reasoning and science knowledge, Technician Grade I also includes a dedicated section on technical discipline.

Ques: What is the age limit for RRB Technician 2025?
Ans: The age limit differs by post:
Age will be calculated as on 1 July 2025. Reserved category candidates are eligible for relaxations as per government norms.
Ques: Can I apply if I’m in the final year of ITI/Diploma?
Ans: No. Candidates must have completed the required qualification on or before 28 July 2025. Final-year students or those awaiting results are not eligible.
Ques: Can I apply for both Technician Grade I and Grade III posts?
Ans: Yes, but you must submit separate applications for each pay level. Applying for more than one post under the same pay level will result in disqualification.
Ques: Is LASIK or eye surgery allowed for Technician posts?
Ans: No. Candidates who have undergone LASIK or other refractive surgeries are not eligible for posts requiring A-3 medical category (e.g., some Grade 3 roles).
