UPSC IAS Prelims Admit Card 2026 will be released soon by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the prelims exam scheduled on May 24, 2026. The admit card will be made available in PDF format on the official website at www.upsc.gov.in. Candidates will be able to download it by logging in with their registration ID/roll number and date of birth. How to Download IAS 2026 Admit Card?

To download UPSC IAS Admit Card 2026, candidates need to follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Official UPSC Website: Go to the official UPSC website upsc.gov.in.
  2. Navigate to the Admit Card Section: Under the “Examinations” tab, click on the link for “e-Admit Cards for Various Examinations of UPSC.”
  3. Select the Relevant Examination: Choose “Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2026” from the list.
  4. Agree to the Instructions: Read the instructions carefully and click “Yes” to proceed.
  5. Log In to Access the Admit Card: You can log in using either:
    • Registration ID: Enter your Registration ID and Date of Birth.

Documents Required with UPSC Admit IAS Card on Exam Day

Instructions Given on UPSC IAS Admit Card 2026

  • You should reach UPSC IAS exam centre on the reporting time or at least 30 mins before the exam.
  • If your admit card does not have a clear picture, you must carry two passport-sized photographs on the exam day.
  • If you’re using the facility of a scribe, you must have a separate admit card for the scribe. It is published separately by the Commission on the official website.
  • Any sort of electronic or communication device is prohibited at the exam centre. Thus, you should not have mobile phones (even if switched off), pagers, pen drives, smart watches, cameras, bluetooth, etc. on exam day.
  • You must keep the E-admit cards released by the Commission safe for all the stages until the publication of the final results.
  • The answers in the OMR sheet must be marked with a black ballpoint pen only. If you use any other pen, your answers will not be evaluated.

If you forget your registration no. and cannot download your UPSC IAS Admit Card 2026, you need to generate it again through UPSC’s official website. Click on ‘Forgot Registration No.’ button on the login page and enter the personal details asked there. On successful verification, your registration number will be sent to the registered email ID and phone number.
