Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will soon release UPSC IAS Prelims Result 2026 on its official website after the completion of the exam which is scheduled on May 24, 2026. Candidates who appear for the exam will be able to download the result PDF, which will contain the roll numbers of qualified candidates. Those who qualify the Prelims exam will be eligible to appear for the next phase of the selection process—UPSC IAS Mains Exam. UPSC IAS 2025 Final Result will be released soon on the website after the completion of the interview round.

Candidates should follow these steps to access their UPSC Civil Services Result 2026:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the official UPSC website – upsc.gov.in
  2. Click on the Result Link: On the homepage, look for the link titled “UPSC Civil Services Mains Result 2026” under the “What’s New” section or in the “Examinations” tab.
  3. Download the PDF: Click on the result link to open the PDF file. It contains the roll numbers of candidates who have qualified for the Mains exam.
  4. Check Your Roll Number: Use Ctrl+F (or Command+F on Mac) to search your roll number in the PDF.

After the declaration of UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2026, candidates should follow these important steps:

Ques. How is rank allotted in UPSC?

Ans. Your rank in UPSC is determined by your marks in Mains and Interview round. Your UPSC Prelims marks are not counted for the ranking as it is the only screening stage. As per the ranking of UPSC previous year toppers, we can say that toppers get more than 900 score in total.
