IBPS SO 2026 Application Process

IBPS SO 2026 application process is completely online. Candidates must complete registration, fill out the form, upload scanned documents, pay the fee, and submit the application through the official IBPS website – www.ibps.in. Below is a step-by-step breakdown to guide you through the process:

Step 1 – New Registration

Visit the registration portal. On the next page, click “Click here for New Registration.” You’ll be required to enter your name, mobile number, and valid email ID. After submission, a Provisional Registration Number and Password will be auto-generated by the system and sent via SMS and email. Make sure to save these credentials securely for future logins. Click here to visit the registration portal.

Log in using the Provisional Registration Number and Password. Now complete the application form by filling in the required details such as:

  • Personal Information (gender, category, nationality, etc.)
  • Educational Qualifications
  • Communication Address
  • Exam Centre Preferences
  • Post & Bank Preferences

Use the “Save & Next” option if you wish to pause and return later. This is helpful if your documents are not ready or you need to review any details.

Step 2 – Upload Required Documents

Candidates are required to upload the following documents in the prescribed format and size:

  • Passport-size Photograph: 20–50 KB, 200x230 pixels, JPG/JPEG
  • Signature: 10–20 KB, 140x60 pixels, black ink on white paper, not in capital letters
  • Left Thumb Impression: 20–50 KB, in blue or black ink on white paper
  • Handwritten Declaration: 50–100 KB, written in English on white paper (must match IBPS text exactly)

All files must be in JPG or JPEG format. Uploading the wrong files or switching photo/signature fields may result in application rejection.

Step 3 – Preview and Validate the Application

Once all details are filled and documents are uploaded, click the “Preview” tab to view your complete form. This is your final chance to review and make corrections. IBPS does not allow any edits after final submission. Verify all data thoroughly. Once satisfied, click on “Final Submit” to confirm the registration.

Step 4 – Pay the Application Fee

After final submission, proceed to the payment section. The fee can be paid using either a Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, IMPS or a Mobile wallet. The payment gateway is integrated into the registration portal. Once the payment is successful, an e-receipt will be generated. The application fee structure is as follows:

  • SC/ST/PwBD: ₹175
  • All Others (UR/OBC/EWS): ₹850

Step 5 – Submit and Print the Application

After the payment is completed, click on “Submit” to finish your application. It is strongly advised to download and print the following documents for future use:

  • Final Submitted Application Form (PDF)
  • Payment Receipt (e-receipt)
