NABARD Grade A Eligibility 2026 for 91 vacancies in Assistant Manager posts across Rural Development Banking Service (RDBS), Legal Service, Protocol & Security Service is set by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). Candidates who are Indian citizens, within the age limit of 21 to 30 years, holding a Bachelor’s degree (with 60 % for the general category), or a postgraduate degree, are eligible to apply. After selection through NABARD Grade A exam, candidates can be posted anywhere in India in NABARD’s regional offices, project wings, or functional departments.

NABARD Grade A Nationality 2026

Candidates must be citizens of India. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for NABARD Assistant Manager (Grade A) recruitment 2026. Candidates from any other country are not eligible to apply for this recruitment.

NABARD Grade A Age Limit 2026

Candidates must meet the specified minimum and maximum age criteria to be eligible to apply for NABARD Grade A Assistant Manager 2026. The minimum age for all category of candidates is 21 years of age. Candidates must have been born not earlier than November 2, 1995 and not later than November 1, 2004. NABARD Grade A 2026 age limit for all category is given below:

Age Requirement for Grade ‘A’ (Protocol & Security Service):
Candidates must be between 25 and 40 years old, with no age relaxations for any category. Only those whose date of birth falls between November 2, 1985, and November 1, 2000 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to submit an application.

NABARD Grade A Educational Qualification 2026

Candidates applying for NABARD Grade A 2026 must have completed their graduation. The table given below shows educational qualifications for different posts:

(A) Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ (RURAL DEVELOPMENT BANKING SERVICE) (RDBS):

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate, or
  • Post Graduate degree, MBA/PGDM with a minimum of 55% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate, or
  • CA/CS/CMA/ICWA, or
  • Ph.D. from Institutions recognized by GOI/UGC.
Chartered Accountant Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized University/Institution with Membership of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The Membership of ICAI must have been obtained on or before 01-11-2026.
Company Secretary Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized University/Institution with Associate/Fellow Membership of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). The Membership of ICSI must have been obtained on or before 01-11-2026.
Finance
  • BBA (Finance / Banking) / BMS (Finance / Banking) from any recognized University / Institution with 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate, or 
  • Two years full-time P.G. Diploma in Management (Finance) / Full-time MBA (Finance) / MMS (Finance) degree with 55% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate from Institutions / Universities recognized by GoI / UGC with Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Candidates will be required to submit a certificate from Institution/University regarding specialization in Finance, or
  • Bachelor of Financial and Investment Analysis with 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 55%), or
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized University/Institution with Membership of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The Membership of ICAI must have been obtained on or before 01-11-2026, or
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized University/Institution with Membership of Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of India (ACMA/FCMA/ICWA). The Membership of ICMAI must have been obtained on or before 01-11-2026, or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognized University/Institution with Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from CFA Institute (USA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification from Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
Computer / Information Technology
  • Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Computer Applications / Information Technology / Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunications / Electronics & Communication / Data Science / Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from any recognized University / Institution with 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate, or 
  • Post Graduate degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Computer Applications / Information Technology / Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunications / Electronics & Communication / Data Science / Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with 55% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate from any recognized University / Institution, or

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Engineering from any recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks (PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate, or
  • Post Graduate degree in Agriculture Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks (PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate from any recognized University/Institution.
Plantation & Horticulture
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture from any recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks (PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate, or
  • Post Graduate degree in Horticulture with a minimum of 55% marks (PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate from any recognized University/Institution.
Fisheries Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries Science from any recognized University/Institution with 60% marks (ST/PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate, or
Post Graduate degree in Fisheries Science with 55% marks (ST/PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate from any recognized University/Institution.
Food Processing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Processing / Food Technology / Dairy Technology from any recognized University/Institution with 60% marks (SC/PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate, or
  • Post Graduate degree in Food Processing / Food Technology / Dairy Technology with 55% marks (SC/PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate from any recognized University/Institution.
Land Development & Soil Science
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Soil Science / Agriculture / Environmental Science from any recognized University/Institution with 60% marks (PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate, or
  • Post Graduate degree in Soil Science / Agriculture / Environmental Science with 55% marks (PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate from any recognized University/Institution
Civil Engineering
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering from any recognized University/Institution with 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate, or
  • Post Graduate degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate from any recognized University/Institution.
Electrical Engineering
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Power Systems from any recognized University/Institution with 60% marks (PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate, or
  • Post Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Power Systems with 55% marks (PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate from any recognized University/Institution
Media Specialist Post Graduate degree in Mass Media / Mass Communication / Communication / Journalism from any recognized University/Institution with 55% marks (PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate from any recognized University/Institution.
Economics
  • Post Graduate degree in Applied Economics with a minimum of 55% marks (SC/PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate from any recognized University/Institution.
  • Candidates with Economics as one of the main subjects at all years/semesters of the course will only be eligible.

(B) Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ (LEGAL SERVICE):

Discipline Educational Qualification
Legal Service
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law recognized by UGC and Bar Council of India for the purpose of enrolment as an Advocate with a minimum of 60% marks in the aggregate of all semesters/years, or
  • LLM Degree with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate of all semesters/years.
  • Practicing advocates are required to submit a copy of their Bar Council registration certificate along with a certificate either from the Bar Association to which they belong or from the Presiding Officer of the court where they have completed the mandated period of practice. These documents must be provided at the time of the interview.

(C) Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ (PROTOCOL & SECURITY SERVICE):

Experience (as of November 1, 2026): The candidate must be a Commissioned Officer from the Army, Navy, or Air Force with at least ten years of service, or five years in the case of PwBD applicants, and must possess a valid Ex-Serviceman Identity Card. As Assistant Managers of NABARD Grade A, officers are entrusted with responsibilities across rural development, agriculture finance, and allied sectors. They implement NABARD schemes, monitor credit institutions, draft policy inputs, conduct project inspections and field follow-ups, and collaborate with state/regional offices.
