Transport Allowance

Transport Allowance covers commuting expenses to and from the workplace. The Transport Allowance may differ for different cities depending on the population. However, post 7th Pay Commission, 1600 per month is the minimum transport allowance for an employee in a pay band of INR 15,600 to INR 39,100.

Dearness Allowance

Dearness allowance is to assist in the adjustment of the cost of living. It is revised and calculated as a basic salary. The dearness allowance is calculated as 31% of basic pay.

House Rent Allowance

House Rent Allowance is a component that assists employees with their rental expenses. Post 7th Pay Commission, the HRA is 24%, 16%, and 8% for the employees residing in City A, City B, and City C, respectively.
