To apply for SSC JHT 2026, a candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan. People of Indian origin who moved from countries like Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam to settle in India can also apply. But if the candidate is not an Indian citizen, they must get a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India.

Ques: What is SSC JHT job?
Ans: SSC JHT (Junior Hindi Translator) job is a government position in which the primary responsibility is to translate documents, reports, official letters, and other materials between Hindi and English for various central government ministries and departments. Junior Hindi Translators also assist in implementing language policies, promote the use of Hindi in official work, and help organise meetings, workshops, and seminars conducted in Hindi.
Ques: Do physical standards apply to all SSC JHT posts?
