SSC JHT Result 2026, Check Cut Off & Merit List PDF

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will announce the SSC JHT Paper 1 Result 2026 on its official website after the examination is conducted. Lakhs of candidates are expected to appear for the exam, out of which qualified candidates will be shortlisted for the Paper 2 descriptive examination. The result will be released in PDF format, containing the names and roll numbers of shortlisted candidates along with their categories. SSC JHT 2026 results are available in 2 formats over time:

1. Result PDF - This file contains the roll numbers and names of candidates who have qualified for Paper 2. SSC also released category-wise cut-off marks, helping candidates understand the minimum marks required for shortlisting.
2. Individual Scorecard - Released a few days later, the scorecard will include the candidate’s name, roll number, registration ID, category, marks obtained in Paper 1, qualification status, and sometimes post preference. Candidates need to download and keep it for future reference.

What Happens After SSC JHT Paper 1 Result?

The Paper 1 result is declared, which marks a crucial turning point in the selection process. Candidates who score equal to or above the official cut-off are shortlisted for Paper 2, which is descriptive in nature.

Paper 2 tests a candidate’s skills in translation and essay writing in both Hindi and English. It is a pen-and-paper exam carrying 200 marks, and it plays a key role in the final selection.

Only candidates who qualify Paper 1 are allowed to appear in Paper 2. The admit card for the second paper is released separately on the SSC portal.

To be eligible for shortlisting to Paper 2, candidates must score at least the minimum qualifying marks set by SSC.
