Union Public Service Commission has officially announced the UPSC IFoS Mains Result 2025 on February 24 2026. The Indian Forest Service (IFoS) Mains Examination was conducted from November 16 to 23 2025 at various centres across the country. Candidates who appeared in the written examination can now download the official result PDF. The result contains roll numbers of shortlisted candidates who have qualified for the next stage, i.e., the Personality Test (Interview) round of the selection process.

How to Check UPSC IFoS 2025 Result?
UPSC releases UPSC IFoS Result 2025 on their official website. The result is released in the form of a PDF and can be downloaded and printed out for future purposes. The steps to open the result from the official website are very easy and are given below.
- Visit the official website of UPSC IFoS at www.upsc.gov
- Look for ‘Written Results’ on the right side of the screen and click on it.
- On the page opened, click on Examination Written Results.
- From the list of links given, find the link for your result.
- The link will open as a PDF. To enter your name and roll number, press ctrl+f.
- Look for your name in the list opened. If your name is there, you have cleared the exam.
- Download and save the result PDF for future reference.
Important Instructions for UPSC IFoS Mains 2025 Qualified Candidates
Candidates shortlisted in the UPSC IFoS Mains Result 2025 declared by Union Public Service Commission must strictly follow the official guidelines before appearing for the Personality Test (Interview).
Qualified candidates are required to:
- Produce original certificates for age, educational qualification, community, EWS, PwBD, and other applicable reservation categories.
- Upload valid proof of passing the prescribed qualifying examination.
- Update necessary details in the Online Application Form within the given deadline.
- Ensure that all supporting documents were issued on or before 21 February 2025, the closing date of application.

UPSC IFoS Mains 2025 Updates - OAF Window, Cadre Preference & Interview Process
After the declaration of the UPSC IFoS Mains Result 2025, Union Public Service Commission has activated the mandatory OAF (Online Application Form) update window from 27 February 2026 to 13 March 2026 (6:00 PM) for candidates shortlisted for the Personality Test.
Failure to complete the OAF update within the prescribed deadline will lead to cancellation of candidature for the UPSC IFoS Interview 2025.
Mandatory OAF Update - Key Requirements
Qualified candidates must update and submit the following details:
- Educational qualification status
- Proof of passing the required degree
- Correspondence and permanent address
- Employment details and service experience
- Academic or professional achievements (if any)
- Number of attempts and previous exam details
- OBC/EWS Annexure (if applicable)
Note: All documents must meet eligibility conditions as per the Indian Forest Service Examination Rules 2025.
IFoS 2025 Cadre Preference Rules
Cadre allocation is an important stage of the Indian Forest Service (IFoS) 2025 selection process.
- Candidates must indicate their order of preference for State Cadres, including Home State.
- Cadre preference once submitted cannot be changed.
- Final allocation will depend on merit rank, category, and the cadre allotment policy in force at the time of final result.
UPSC IFoS Interview & e-Summon Letter
- The UPSC IFoS Personality Test schedule will be published online.
- e-Summon Letters will be available on the official website only.
- No physical call letters will be sent by post.
- Requests for change in interview date/time are generally not accepted.
When Will UPSC IFoS 2025 Marks Be Released?
UPSC will upload the UPSC IFoS 2025 marksheet within 15 days after the final result is declared. The marks will remain available on the official website for 30 days for candidates to download.
