UPESSC will provide a detailed UPTET Syllabus 2026 in UPTET notification 2026. UPTET has two papers, Paper 1 is for the Primary standard or for classes 1 - 5, and Paper 2 is the Upper Primary standard or for classes 6 - 8. Paper 1 has 5 sections, which include Child Development & Pedagogy, Language-1 (Hindi), Language-2 (English / Sanskrit / Urdu), Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Paper 2 of UPTET, which is for Upper Primary standard or for Class 6 to 8, has four sections. The first three sections are Child Development & Pedagogy, Language 1 (Hindi), & language 2 (English/Urdu/Sanskrit). The fourth section is Mathematics and Science or Social Studies.

UPTET Syllabus 2026 has similar sections for both Paper 1 and Paper 2, but syllabus details vary. UPTET Paper 2 Syllabus has more depth and covers more topics in addition to what is mentioned for that section in the Paper 1 syllabus. Candidates should go through in detail and stick to learning what is mentioned in the syllabus. This will help in gaining more marks and securing a seat as a UP government school teacher.
