MP SET Eligibility Criteria 2026: Check Educational Qualification, Age Limit

MP SET 2026 Eligibility Criteria is determined by factors such as age, educational qualification, and nationality. Candidates must be Indian citizens and should be at least 21 years old, with no upper age limit. Applicants must have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with a minimum qualifying percentage as prescribed by the commission. There is no restriction on the number of attempts for MP SET 2026. Prior teaching experience is not a mandatory requirement.

There is no rigid age limit for MP SET 2026. Candidates must be at least 21 years old to apply, with no specification on the upper age limit. This applies to all the categories. Candidates must, however, fulfil the respective educational requirements of their category.

MP SET Educational Qualification 2026

MP SET 2026 Educational Qualification requires candidates to have the following requirements:

• Candidates must have obtained a degree or post-graduate degree from a recognized university or institution as per the guidelines mentioned in the University Grants Commission Act, 1956
• Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam (including the general category and EWS category).
• Candidates belonging to the categories SC/ST/PwD/ OBC(non-creamy layer) must secure at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
• Candidates who have completed their education from a distance education mode must ensure that their degree is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• Candidates who had completed their education until 19th December, 1991, from any foreign university and whose degree is recognized as equivalent to a master's degree by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, can apply, provided they meet other eligibility conditions.
• Final-year candidates can also apply provisionally under the condition that the degree must be completed within 2 years of the results being declared, with the required minimum percentage.

MP SET Nationality Criteria 2026

Candidates who have fulfilled the conditions of the other criteria must be Indian citizens to apply for MP SET 2026. Foreign nationals won't be eligible. There is no specific criterion regarding the domicile of the candidates. Candidates outside Madhya Pradesh will be considered under the general category.
