MP SET 2026 Exam Pattern is designed as per the latest UGC NET/SET pattern, making it highly relevant for Assistant Professor eligibility. The MP SET 2026 is a written examination comprising two papers. Paper 1 (Teaching and Research Aptitude) is compulsory, carries 100 marks, and assesses reasoning, comprehension, and research skills. Paper 2 (Subject-Specific Paper) carries 200 marks and is based on the candidate’s chosen subject. The questions in Paper 2 are set at the postgraduate level to evaluate in-depth subject expertise.

MP SET Selection Process 2026
MP SET Section Process follows a single-step selection process:
- Paper 1: It is a General Paper.
- Paper 2: It is subject-oriented.
Candidates need to appear for both papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks as per their category to obtain MP SET certificate.
After appearing for MP SET 2026 written exam, candidates must wait for the official answer key and result to be released by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC). Once the result is declared, candidates who meet or exceed the qualifying marks and rank within the top 6% ( both subject and category-wise) are declared MP SET qualified. They will receive an eligibility certificate.
