RRB ALP 2026 application process will begin soon on the official Railway Recruitment Board website for Assistant Loco Pilot vacancies. Candidates will need to register by entering their personal, educational, and category details, uploading a scanned photograph and signature as per the prescribed specifications, and paying the required examination fee. Applicants must ensure that all details and preferences are filled in accurately. All entries must be made carefully, as RRB allows corrections only during a specified edit window, after which no further changes will be accepted.

Rejected Applications: Details of rejected applications (along with the reason for rejection) can be viewed on the website of the RRB concerned by logging in, which will be final and binding and no further correspondence shall be entertained on the subject. No refund of examination fee will be made for rejected applications. SMS and e-mail alerts shall also be sent to the candidates on their registered mobile numbers and e-mail IDs. Candidates will not be intimated by post.
If you are from the General category you need to pay INR 500, for rests of the categories, the application fee is INR 250. However, it varies from year to year.

Modes of Fee Payment:
a) Only Online fee payment through internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI will be accepted. All applicable service charges shall be borne by the candidate.
b) Fee can be paid by the candidates through the online mode only. There will be no option to pay fee through any other mode.
c) Applications received without the prescribed fee shall not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection will be entertained.
Refund of Examination Fee (for those attending CBT1):
(a) All candidates must clearly mention their bank details in their application form (viz., Name of Bank, Name of Account Holder, Account Number and IFSC Code) for receiving the refundable portion of their examination fee (i.e., Rs. 400/- or Rs. 250/- as applicable minus bank charges).
(b) The responsibility for furnishing correct bank account details lies on the candidates and RRB shall not entertain any correspondence from candidates on this ground.
(c) There will be no refund of examination fee for wrong/incomplete beneficiary details and erroneous/ incomplete/rejected applications.

After the online application has been closed, RRB ALP Application Correction Window will be opened on the official website from May 14 to May 23, 2026. You can modify RRB ALP application form after final submission by paying the modification fee of INR 250 (Non-Refundable).

The final selection of candidates for the RRB ALP Exam will be made according to the combined marks secured by the candidates in Part A of CBT Stage 2 and the Computer-Based Aptitude Test. 70% weightage is given to part A of the CBT Stage 2 while the remaining 30% weightage is given to Computer Based Aptitude Test.

Ans. The minimum qualifying marks for Computer Based Test are 40% for general candidates, 30% for OBS and SC category candidates, and 25% for ST category candidates.
