RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2026: Check CBT 1, CBT 2, and CBAT Pattern

RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2026 is designed to assess candidates through a multi-stage selection process. It includes CBT 1 (screening test), CBT 2 (Part A & B), a Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination. CBT 1 and CBT 2 assess subjects like Mathematics, Reasoning, General Awareness, and Technical Trade knowledge. The final merit is based on CBT 2 (Part A) and CBAT scores.

RRB ALP CBT 1 exam pattern will be taken online to shortlist candidates for CBT 2. The exam duration is 1 hour and one-third of the mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Minimum pass percentage for eligibility: UR & EWS - 40%, OBC (NCL) - 30%, SC - 30%, ST - 25%. This is also applicable to Ex Service men category candidates, as per their community.

RRB ALP CBT 2 Exam Pattern 2026

RRB ALP CBT 2 exam patttern is conducted in two parts – Part A and Part B – both of which are conducted on the same day. However, Part B is only qualifying in nature. For every correct option, you will get 1 mark while a 1/3rd mark will be deducted for every incorrect attempt. RRB ALP Part A will be of 90 minutes while Part B will be of 60 minutes.

In Part -A, Minimum pass percentage for eligibility: UR & EWS - 40%, OBC (NCL) - 30%, SC - 30%, ST - 25%. This is also applicable to Ex Service men category candidates, as per their community. Only the marks scored in Part-A shall be counted for shortlisting of candidates for further stages of this recruitment process provided the candidate irrespective of community is able to secure qualifying marks (35%) in Part-B.

RRB ALP CBAT Exam is a Computer Based Aptitude Test and is only conducted for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts.
