CSIR-UGC NET 2020 exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), took place on November 19, 21, and 26, 2020, across various test centers in India. The exam was held in a computer-based format for five core science subjects: Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Earth Sciences. It served as a national-level eligibility test for candidates aspiring to qualify for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or Lectureship (LS). Candidates can download the official CSIR NET 2020 question papers and answer keys in PDF format here for exam preparation and reference.
CSIR NET 2020 selection process was based on a single computer-based test for each subject, divided into three parts: Part A, B, and C, with a total of 200 marks. The number of questions and marking scheme varied slightly depending on the subject. Typically, the paper contained 120 questions, but candidates were required to attempt only a specified number (ranging from 75 to 85). Final selection for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or Lectureship (LS) was based on marks secured, subject-wise cutoffs, and eligibility criteria.
