KVS recruitment 2026 educational qualification includes specific academic degrees, such as a Master’s or integrated postgraduate degree for PGTs, a bachelor’s degree plus B.Ed for TGTs, and a teaching diploma or degree for PRTs. The educational qualification for different posts is given below:
KVS Assistant Commissioner Educational Qualification 2026
- Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks
- B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institute/University with at least 50% marks
OR
- Three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from NCTE-recognized institute/University with at least 50% marks
- Working as Principal in the Pay Level 12 (Rs. 78800 to Rs. 209200) for at least 03 years in Central/State/Autonomous Organizations of Central Govt./State Govt.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
- Working knowledge of Hindi and English.
KVS Principal Educational Qualification 2026
- Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized institution/University.
- Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed.) with at least 50% marks from an NCTE-recognized institution/University.
OR
- Three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from NCTE-recognized institution/University with at least 50% marks OR Four years Integrated Degree with at least 50% marks including B.Ed. component from an NCTE-recognized institution/University (50% marks)
- Working as Principal in Pay Level-12 (Rs. 78800-209200) in the Pay Matrix in Central/State Govt./Autonomous organizations of Central/State Govt.

- Master's Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed.) with at least 50% marks from NCTE-recognized Institute/University OR Three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. with atleast 50% marks from any NCTE-recognized Institute/University

- Integrated Post Graduate Course from an NCTE-recognized institution/University, in the concerned subject, with at least 50% marks in aggregate, including B.Ed. component.

AND

- B.Ed. Degree from an NCTE-recognized institution/University with at least 50% marks, or Three years

3. Qualified in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) (Paper 2) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Relaxation up to 5 percent in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD in СТЕТ.
4. Registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) with a valid CRR number.
5. Proficiency to teach in Hindi and English.
Note: B.A. B.Ed. in Visual Impairment is an integrated course of graduation and B.Ed. Special Education, separate graduation is not required in the case of a candidate possessing this degree.

KVS PRT Educational Qualification 2026
- Music:
- Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary/Intermediate (CLASS XII) with 50% marks from a recognized board.
- Bachelor's Degree in Music/Performing Arts from a recognized Institution/University, provided that the music subject is studied in all the years of the degree as the main subject.
- Working knowledge of Hindi & English
Note: Candidates having a Diploma in Music are not eligible for the post.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
- Special Educator:
- Class 12 Passed with minimum 50% marks in aggregate
- Any of the following from a recognized university/Institute:
- Two-year D.Ed. Special Education in any of the categories of disability.
