RBI Grade B 2025 General (DR) Exam Pattern

RBI Grade B (DR) General 2025 selection will take place in three stages: Phase I, Phase II, and Interview. Phase I is an online objective exam used to screen candidates. Phase II includes three separate papers, a mix of objective and descriptive, to test deeper knowledge and skills. The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in Phase II and the Interview.

General (DR) Phase I Exam Pattern

General (DR) Phase I is an objective-type test with a total of 200 marks. It is designed to check general awareness, reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude, and English knowledge. This stage is qualifying in nature, which means its marks are not counted in the final merit list. However, candidates must clear the sectional and overall cut-off marks set by the Board to qualify for Phase II.

  • Total marks: 200.
  • Duration: 120 minutes, with separate time allotted for each section.

General (DR) Phase II Exam Pattern

General (DR) Phase II is the main examination and consists of three papers. It carries a total of 300 marks. The papers are a mix of objective and descriptive questions, and candidates must appear for all three papers on the same day, in different shifts. The marks of Phase II are considered in the final merit.

Paper I and III:

  • Objective part: 30 questions worth 50 marks.
  • Descriptive part: 6 questions are asked; candidates must attempt 4 (2 questions of 15 marks each and 2 questions of 10 marks each). If more than 4 are answered, only the first 4 are evaluated.
  • Descriptive answers can be written in English or Hindi (using Inscript or Remington (GAIL) keyboards).

Paper II (English Writing Skills): Descriptive only, answered in English.

  • All papers (except English) are bilingual; available in both Hindi and English.
  • Candidates must appear in all papers; a single admit card will be issued for both shifts.
  • Shortlisting for the Interview is based on the total marks of Phase II (out of 300).
  • The Interview carries 75 marks. A personality assessment will also be conducted before the Interview, but no marks are given for it.
  • Final selection is based on Phase II (300 marks) + Interview (75 marks).

RBI Grade B 2025 DEPR Exam Pattern

RBI Grade B (DR) DEPR 2025 exam is conducted in two phases followed by an Interview. Phase I consists of two papers, while Phase II also consists of two papers, both focused on Economics. The purpose of this exam is to evaluate the candidate’s knowledge in Economics, quantitative methods, and writing skills. Final selection is based on performance in Phase I, Phase II, and the Interview.

DEPR (DR) Phase I Exam Pattern

DEPR (DR) Phase I includes two papers: one on Economics (Objective type) and one on English (Descriptive). It is designed to shortlist candidates for Phase II. Candidates must secure minimum marks in both papers as well as in aggregate, as decided by the Board.
