What is SSC MTS Exam?

SSC MTS 2025-26 Application Process

The application process for SSC MTS 2025 was entirely online and opened from June 26, 2025, to July 24, 2025. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  1. One-Time Registration: Visit ssc.gov.in, register by providing personal details, Class X info, and ID proof. Upload scanned photo and signature as per SSC guidelines. Verify via OTP and save credentials.
  2. Application Form: Log in using registration ID and password. Fill educational qualifications, choose three exam centre preferences, and complete other details. Review before submitting.
  3. Upload Documents: Upload recent passport-size photograph, signature, and other required documents.
  4. Fee Payment: Rs. 100 for General/OBC; exempted for SC/ST/PwD/Female candidates. Payment can be made online (cards, net banking, UPI) or offline via SBI challan. Fee deadline is usually one day after form submission closes.
  5. Final Submission: After fee payment, submit the application. Download and save the confirmation page and application form for future reference.

Note: SSC provides a correction window for rectifying errors in your application, but a correction fee applies: Rs. 200 for the first correction and Rs. 500 for the second.

SSC MTS 2026 Exam Pattern

SSC MTS 2025 exam pattern is structured to evaluate candidates through a Computer-Based Test (CBT), known as Paper 1, which is mandatory for all applicants. This test is conducted in two separate sessions: Session I and Session II, and candidates must appear for both to be considered for selection.

Session I consists of two sections: Numerical and Mathematical Ability and Reasoning Ability, and Problem Solving. Each section includes 20 multiple-choice questions, carrying a total of 60 marks each. The duration of this session is 45 minutes.

Session II also includes two sections: General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension. Each of these contains 25 questions, carrying 75 marks per section. This session lasts for 45 minutes.
