SSC MTS selection process for 2025 has two stages for Havaldar posts and one for MTS positions. For MTS, candidates need to clear the Computer-Based Examination (CBE), while Havaldar candidates must also pass the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). Both MTS and Havaldar candidates who qualify are required to go through document verification and medical examinations before final selection.

Highlights-

  • SSC MTS CBT exam is conducted two sessions for a total 270 marks. Both sessions are conducted on the same day.
  • Session I has no negative marking but Session II has a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
  • On the other hand, PET includes walking and cycling. You will be judged on the basis of Physical Standards in the PST round.

SSC MTS Computer-Based Exam 2025

SSC MTS 2025 exam will take place in two sessions in online mode. The exam pattern for SSC MTS exam is given below.

  • The total time duration of the paper is 90 minutes.
  • The questions will be available in Hindi, English and 13 Regional Languages.
  • There is no negative marking in Session 1. Only Session 2 consists of a negative marking of 01 mark.
  • Multiple-Choice Questions are asked from each section.

SSC MTS PET and PST for Havaldar Post 2025

SSC MTS PET and PST evaluate your physical fitness and is conducted for both male and female candidates as given below:

SSC MTS Havaldar PET

The time duration and limits of PET are different for males and females for Havaldar Posts:

SSC MTS 2025 Document Verification

The following documents (original copies) are to be presented in front of the authorities by the selected candidates.

  • Matriculation/ Secondary Certificate.
  • Mark sheet of all Educational Qualifications.
  • Caste/Category Certificate (for reserved categories)
  • Persons with Disabilities Certificate (if applicable)
  • Serving Defence Personnel Certificate/Undertaking/Discharge Certificate for Ex-Servicemen (ESM).
  • No Objection Certificate.
  • Identity Proof (Any)

SSC MTS Selection Process: Tie-Breaking Criteria

  • Marks in Session 2 of CBT: Preference will be given to the aspirant scoring higher marks in the in SSC MTS CBT Session 2.
  • Date of Birth: Older candidates will get the preference
  • Alphabetical Order: The names of the aspirants will be arranged alphabetically and will be chosen accordingly.

Candidates who will be employed as Multitasking Staff will get a salary at Pay Level 1 with a base payment of INR 5,200-20,200 along with a Grade Pay of INR 1,800. The exact salary depends upon the post, location of posting and others.
