SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2025 For MTS & Havaldar (Posts)

SSC MTS exam pattern for 2025 includes only a single stage, which is the Computer Based Examination (CBE). However, candidates applying for the Havaldar post are required to take an additional Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). The exam covers key subjects such as Mathematics, Reasoning, English, and General Awareness. Previously, up until 2022, the SSC MTS exam featured two papers—one objective and one descriptive. Now, it has been streamlined into just one paper, divided into two computer-based sessions.

The exam has two sessions conducted on the same day.
First session has 40 questions while the second has 50 questions.
Each question in both sessions consists of 3 marks
There is no negative marking in Session 1 but 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer in Session 2.
The exam is conducted in Hindi, English and 13 regional languages.

For SSC MTS Physical Test, you need to submit your certificates from Government Medical Officer/Medical Board. If you fail to submit any certificate, then you will not be selected. Also, you cannot change your category to General during or after the physical test.

Ans. SSC MTS 2025 exam pattern consists of a single Computer-Based Examination (CBE). However, candidates applying for the Havaldar post must also clear the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). The CBE is conducted in two sessions, with subjects including Maths, Reasoning, English, and General Awareness. There are no separate descriptive papers as there were before 2022.

Ans. In SSC MTS, if you are a scribe candidate, then you will be given 60 minutes for each of the two sessions.

Ques. Is there Tier 2 in SSC MTS?

Ans. No. There is no Tier 2 in SSC MTS exam. You have to appear for the CBT exam only. However, if you have applied for Havaldar posts, you will be undergo PET/ PST rounds.
