SSC MTS Preference Codes are listed in the official notification released by Staff Selection Commission. The candidates need to mention their preferred states/ UTs/ CCAs in the SSC MTS application form. The codes are based on Post and State/ UT/ CCA. The candidates must mention the preference codes given in the official notification. If any other code is provided, it will not be considered.
These preference codes have to be filled in the order of priority. Wherever a candidate does not wish to fill a preference, he/she can mention ‘no choice’ i.e., ‘X’ in the remaining columns or boxes. For instance, if you wish to fill only six preferences, then you are required to fill out the respective codes for those six preferences and in the remaining columns you can fill ‘X’. It is recommended that candidates fill out maximum number of preferences to increase their chances of selection. A candidate is only considered for the preferences he/she gives. For instance, if you have given six preferences, then you will be considered for the vacancies of only those six choices. Also, preference once given by a candidate can not be changed at a later stage.
As the recruitment is completed in the different departments of the Central Government, the job location could be anywhere in the Indian territory. The SSC has released the official notification which also includes the SSC MTS preference code 2025. The codes are based on the posts and states/ UTs/ CCAs.
